McArthur-Burney Falls

For months we have been planning a camping trip with 5 other families. Yes, 12adults and 14 kids! While the event had the potential for disaster (hello, we are now outnumbered, what if the little wild things turned on us?), it ended up being an epic trip for everyone, a little crazy, but so fun! The kids ran around in complete bliss - riding in a huge bike gang, swimming in the lake, running in the woods, catching fish, ice cream cones - kid heaven! And the adults had fun in the company of awesome friends - really we have the best friends!

Having a snack at the creek.

The first night we would put Theo to bed and then a few minutes later he would come sneaking out - very proud that he could get out of his bed and he wasn't trapped in a crib!

Brock and Cory both caught a trout and the kids devoured them during our BBQ the next day. I think Brock's friend Grace ate a whole trout by herself!

Helmet on - check! Finger in nose - check! So special!

Brock and Grace trying to catch squirrels - love that they were both sitting with legs crossed.

All of our days were spent staying cool in the Lake.

Our fourth of July celebration included lots of food, this amazing cake - made by Jenny while camping(uber impressive), pinata, and decorations!

Eating their loot.

Lot of time lizard hunting, bug catching, zoo keeping and then releasing (hopefully before too much harm was done).
