Wells Fargo

Yesterday we went to Wells Fargo to make a deposit. When we pulled up Brock said "horsey, horsey...nahhhhh". I told him that I didn't see a horse (although I should know better than to doubt him - he is VERY observant). Then I looked back at him and he was pointing up at the Wells Fargo sign - and guess what? There are horses on it. When will I learn?

Week in Pics

Things have settled a bit around here. We finished working on our rental house and it is now occupied. We spent some time last weekend doing leisure type activities for a change, like a morning at the beach in Tahoe. After enjoying 90 degree weather last weekend, we have enjoyed rainy, drizzly, beach like weather the last few days.
Last night was a mommy milestone for me - my first night away from Brock. He had a slumber party with "Ma" and "Pa". Cory and I went out on the town, enjoyed a nice dinner, and then returned to a baby-free house - WEIRD, but GREAT! And apparently Brock didn't miss us at all. He had some fun at the park and then Ma and Pa took him out to ice cream! Then he had a gourmet French toast breakfast after sleeping the night through. He didn't seem all that excited to see us in the morning :)

Brock refuses to wear a hat!

Brock can swing like a monkey on the bars. It is amazing to me that he can hold himself up!

Brock and his buddy Conner!

My parents went to Ireland a couple weeks ago. They brought Brock back an Irish rugby jersey. We had an Irish dinner at my parents house the other night and looked at photos, so Cory and Brock dressed appropriately.

Funny Little Man

Oh where, oh where has my baby gone? Brock is turning into quite the amazing little man. He is so fun right now! Although we have really loved every stage of his life, it sure is fun now that he can walk, talk and interact with us.
A couple cute stories from the week...

I probably tell Brock to be careful at least a few times a day...if not a hundred! So he just started saying "careful". Yesterday, his "pa"(grandpa) was on a stool washing his car and Brock told him to be careful...so cute!

Today was garbage day and so Brock took great pride in pointing out each garbage can in the neighborhood and saying, "Garbage"!

I just put the little stinker to bed and he was babbling away in there as usual before he drifts off to sleep. The babbling got louder and I could hear him yelling, "Mommy", then "Daddy", then "Kiss". Now how can I resist a sweet request like that? Of course I went in for one last kiss before bed!

Oh, and I can't forget the lesson Mommy learned last week - WATCH YOUR MOUTH around this little sponge child! As I opened the trunk of my car, a coffee mug fell out and shattered on the drive way. Poor choice of words...I know, but I said, "Shit" with plenty of gusto! And so what was Brock saying for about 15 minutes. You guessed it! At first I tried to ignore him, but then I finally told him to stop saying that and mommy will too :)

Well, the stories are endless...but you can see we have our hands full! And we are just loving every second as usual!

Carrying BOTH balls around the yard. He was working so hard at this...dropping one, then picking it up....then dropping the other and so on.

Climbing on the toilet!

Brock loves to be in his toy or laundry basket! Here he is chatting on his phone.

Gorgeous Northwest

Last weekend Brock and I traveled to Port Townsend, WA - one of the most beautiful places I've seen! We were visiting my best friend Allison, and her parents Lopez and Cherel. It was so great to see them and to do some site seeing as well. Brock traveled like a champ - no naps, eating out, the flight, a big new house to explore - he handled it all pretty darn well for a toddler. I think it was a bit more stressful on mommy, but we had a great time regardless. We spent some time just hanging out in their beautiful house and yard. We also explored the local beaches and took the ferry to Victoria. It was a blast! Cory stayed home - worked hard on projects and did plenty of riding!

Since we have been back, life has been crazy. After work we head straight to our rental house to work, manage to eat a few bites for dinner, and then hit the sack - HARD! Last night was the first time I had even set foot in my own living room in a week! Hopefully, we will have it rented soon and then we can relax a little (or work on other projects).
