A Star is Born...

Well, not really, but Brock had a role in his very first play! Brock's teacher, Minoo, and her helpers somehow managed to coordinate about 15 preschoolers into a very impressive performance. The set was amazing - the kids worked on it for almost a month. For those of you who know our little Brock you will know he doesn't just go along with things becuase others are doing it or becuase it looks fun. No, no...that would be too easy! Brock does things in his own intense way. So although he knew his line and when to say it he decided he wasn't going to say it during rehersal the few days leading up to the play...THAT IS until he saw the costume's. Minoo told him only children who say their lines can wear costumes. You never know what will motivate Brock, but she nailed it. He said his line in the sweetest little voice during the REAL performance. Then in a nice loud voice he yelled to his friend as they were taking their bow, 'PJ there's your mom'. The play was about 5 little duckies who have lost their parents and go to different animal families to find thier home. And did I mention that 15 toddlers doing a play is just about the cutest thing you've ever seen...it is...the cutest!

Enjoying some pizza with his friend PJ after the big performance.

Cousins

Wow, I really am behind on posting. A couple weekends ago we went to Orangvale to visit my cousins and meet the new twins - born 4/2! My aunt has a great house complete with pool, massive garden, go carts and LOTs of things to do. I have such fond memories of playing at their house with my cousins and it was awesome to see the new generation enjoying the same things! It was a wonderful little get-away.

Meet the twins...Raliegh and Kadence...they are perfect! Jamie and Mike have their hands full of perfect little girls!

All the cousins in the hot tub!

Brock and Addy are good little strawberry pickers...and eaters too!

The go cart was so much fun! We all took turns driving the kids around and Brock even took a little spin by himself...not the best idea!

Addy was good at holding Theo...she called him 'the heavy baby' - a good description I thought.

Playing ang playing!

9 Months

I'm so behind in posting! Theo has turned nine months and is just the sweetest little guy ever! Well, actually he is a big guy over 21 lbs and 29 inches. He moves quickly around the house and loves to move over obstacles...curbs, fireplace, chairs...he loves a challenge and he loves to be chased. He sings in a soft voice when you turn on the music, of course, while he is dancing. He waves hello and good bye...even to cars driving down the street! Brock and Theo love to play together now...they are becoming so close and Brock is always so concerned for his brother. He loves to put just about anything in his mouth. Yesterday he got a big handful of dirt in his mouth and was spraying out mud...he thought it was hysterical! We love our big little Theo at nine months! Here are some pictures - some from his nine month photos by Johnstone Studios.

Nice buns!

Trying to get some of my brothers cereal!

Busy Weekend

We had a fun filled weekend as usual! Cory was out of town for work all week and then headed to Vegas for a bachelor party - what happens in vegas, stays in vegas. About 12of Cory's best friends from high school met there and rented a house boat on Lake Mead. They had some CRAZY tales to tell - not suprising! I was just glad they all came home alive! Me and the boys did some partying of our own here in Reno. We went to our good friend Ben's 5th birthday party on Fri., the kite festival on Sat. and then a Cinco de Mayo party on Sat. night. Party, party, party...

Go Brock!

At the kite festival they had a fire truck! Of course, what kid could resist a ride in the fire truck? Brock would be a cute little fireman don't you think?

Flying his kite! This was quite a site - mommy with baby, camera and kite - running across a feild! Go mommy!

Brock's ALL TIME FAVORITE books are Richard Scarry - so when he saw this apple car with Loly worm he had to take a ride.

It is official - I have two rowdy boys! It used to be that Brock entertained Theo, but now it is mutual. This day they were playing in a pile of pillows together - squealing, jabbering, crawling, jumping, rolling - it was so funny to watch. They were both totally fired up!
