Swimming and Snow

On Saturday Night we went swimming - Theo's first swim. Both the boys loved it and swam for over an hour! When we left swimming it began to snow and didn't stop for 24 hours...16 inches later we were having snowball fights and building snow caves. Brock played outside all day long. He only came in to eat lunch and then back outside - no nap! Fun, fun, fun!!!

Here is Brock about to throw a snow ball at me. He said his snow balls were 'light and crunchy' while daddy's were hard as a bullet. Don't start a snow ball fight with daddy!

We have to give Cory some credit for this snow proof outfit. He couldn't find Brock's jacket so he used an old one - circa 12 months old! Then he duck taped the 'too short' sleeves to the top of Brock's gloves. Brock's snow boots really were too small so he used rain boots and duck taped the bottom of his pants to them. Only Cory would think of this and Brock stayed warm for hours...so I can't make any rude comments on Cory's ability to dress our son - except that he looks ridiculous - just had too squeeze that one in:)

Brrr...Mommy can you please take me back inside so I can move!

Our neighbors have this cute little pug named Gunther. Brock and Gunther have become good friends! Here they are playing in the snow cave that Cory built. After we came back out after lunch, Brock said 'I want to go knock on Sammy's door and see if Gunther can come out to play with me' - so cute.

Sunny Days

It is actually snowing as I type this...BUT,we have had some wonderful sunny days here in Reno - 60+ degrees - ahhhhh, there is hope that spring is coming! It feels so good to get out of the house and soak in all that fabulous vitamin D - bring it on! Both of the boys are just meant to be outdoors - we are outdoor people.

Yum...Dirt!

6 Months!

I can’t believe Theo is 6 months old – well actually 7 months is sneaking right up on us! He is a jolly boy and full of smiles! Some new things he is up to at 6 months…

- He is rolling both ways

- He is getting up on all fours and doing the inch worm crawl. Most the time he goes backwards which he hates! But if you put a toy in front of him he will find a way to get there even if it takes all day! I think he will be in full motion in a few weeks.

- He loves to dance and sing!

- He still has the same little fuzz on his head that he was born with and it looks to be blonde.

- He loves to eat and can now pick up a cheerio to eat it. He LOVES this!

- He is just a mellow and fun loving boy.

- He is sleeping great!

- He went from huge baby to just big baby at his last appt. Just shy of 19lbs and 27 inches!

- His all time favorite person is Brock. Mommy is a very close second!

- He makes very manly sounds, grunting and such...even his laugh is a manly gut laugh...it cracks me up!

Catch Up

Here are some random pictures from the last few weeks that I never had time to post.

Playing in the fort with his buddy Owen.

Theo and his friend Adler playing together.

Brock loves to make forts and little nests all over the house. This is a nest for his animals...and him of course!

Just watching my brother play outside...he is so entertaining!

Cory had this lift home for the weekend - Brock was obsessed with it!

Theo and his friend Millie.

Super Dad!

What a fun game - covering Theo with pillows! He is laughing now, but someday he will get even!

Rockin' Out!

Theo already has some killer dance moves! It happens every time I turn on the music - he just can't resist the beat! This video also has a classic example of what a tuff kid Theo will be...Brock tackles him, mommy says 'Brock' in her most annoyed tone, and Theo could not care less!
