Off to School!

In other Big Boy News, Theo started school two weeks ago. He has been totally potty trained (even at night) for months and was just ready to go - so off he went. I also liked the idea of them being in the same class for a few months before Brock goes to Kindergarten - oh gosh, let's not talk about that...moving on. Both boys were SO excited to go to school together! Brock showed Theo the ropes and helped him at school - it was the sweetest! He is doing great at school, but he is a little nap skipper and comes home looking like a zombie and is passed out by 6 or 7. Here are some pictures from the first day.
Showing off their Star Wars lunch boxes.

Playing right away, no tears when I left - thank goodness.

Big Boys

How are my babies getting so big? In the big boy news, we got rid of the crib and the boys have been sharing a room. They love sharing a room (for now at least)! My parents had the boys for a couple nights around Christmas and while they were gone I whipped up some cute Star Wars duvets out of sheets I scored on ebay. Their room is usually a disaster, but it does look like this for about 2 hours every two weeks after our cleaning lady comes. When I was taking this picture Brock was saying, 'WHAT did Livi do to our beds?' ummmm, she made them Brock :) Now he goes on about how Livi makes our bed SOOO good! Sadly, it is true - she cleans and makes a bed better than I ever could - oh, how I love her!

Cory made a great shelf for all the Lego creations. They spent about a week at Christmas rebuilding all of the sets. Brock always tells me, 'Mom, me and Dad are so into Legos'

Note, Brock is not in this picture. He was napping and Cory was playing Legos :)

Sweet Sonny

Okay, get out the kleenex! It was a sad week at the Jennings house. We lost our sweet cat Sonny who was only with us for about a year and a half. We all just loved Sonny, he was always around, playing with us, taking walks with us, climbing the trees above us, making us laugh, and even trick or treating with us. He was a great little furry friend and we miss him so!

He died last Friday night, he had a blood clot that suddenly made him paralyzed. It was a crazy evening - rushing him to the vet and then having to say good bye to Sonny. Brock and Sonny were especially close. I was so proud of Brock (who was with me through it all). He was so sad and we were both sobbing, but he was talking to Sonny the whole time, "I love you Sonny, Bye Sonny"-over and over again. No regrets there, saying goodbyes to the one's you love. It was heart breaking to see his heart breaking, but something I'm glad he got to do.

Theo on the other hand does not really get it. Here is the conversation I've heard a couple times. Sad and hilarious all wrapped in to one.
Theo, "Where is Sonny?"
Brock, "He's in kitty heaven"
Theo, "Where's Sonny?"
Brock (in a frustrated voice), "Theo, he's dead!"
Theo, (with the sweetest voice), "He's dead?"

We love and miss you dear Sonny!
