San Francisco

This weekend we went to SF. Brock got his first taste of city life and went to his first Giants game! We met my best friend Katie and her boyfriend Jeremy there. Everytime we visit SF we are amazed at the sites. It is crazy, but fun! Brock had a blast at the game, socializing with everyone and having a garlic fry or two. We stayed the night at a hotel that was FULL of other Giants fans. On Sunday, we visited Pier 39 and the famous sea lions. They put on quite a show for us...barking, splashing, playing and biting. Brock was totally into it. For those of you who have been to the city, you will know the robot street performer. He is painted silver from head to toe and he makes crazy noises while moving like a machine. He is very talented! Brock was fascinated to say the least.

Cute Pictures

Time to go outside!

Swinging at the park.

We found this cute little dragon crawling through our house! Oh, wait it's Brock! I found this costume at my favorite second hand store and it is so cute! We are ready to trick or treat!

Yum...fresh tomatoes from the garden.

Brock has moved on from sippy cups or he would like to think he has. It is hard to describe his silly antics, but lately he has protested all things baby. He only wants to feed himself and he would prefer to drink from a real cup. We use two spoons at every meal, one for Brock to try and use and one for us to sneak some baby food in when he's busy.

Brock is officially a carnivore! He has had chicken, ground beef, pork and crab. He eats just about anything we do, including this homemade sushi! He has yet to find a food he doesn't like.

Great Reno Balloon Races

Last weekend was the Great Reno Ballon Race! This is one of our favorite Reno traditions and now that we live just yards away from the action we hosted the First Annual Couston/Jennings Balloon Race Party. We had about 30 or more people come, go and hang out while enjoying the balloons. There were a bunch of babies and kids and it was fun to see them all playing together. Here are some pictures from the day.

A few balloons went right over the party. One, literally, went through a tree in my parents yard.

Brock on day 3 of the ballon races. He started to expect balloons in the sky. On monday, when we went out, he pointed at the sky and made an "ehh" sound, like where are they?

Nine Months Old

Our little tiny baby is now 9 months old! We just went to his 9 month apt and he is almost 18 lbs. and 27.5 inches. The doctor said he is doing great! Of course, we already knew that! He is getting around the house very quickly these days. He pulls himself up on everything with ease and he likes to be walked around by the hands. He is also getting closer to standing on his own. He loves to wave to cars driving down the street or to people saying good bye. He will smother you with sloppy wet kisses when he gets the chance. We have added a couple more words to the list...car and truck...and I think bath. He is just a busy boy. Learning and absorbing everthing around him. Here are a couple pictures of our big boy.

Brock gets busy doing little projects. The other day he was very carefully moving one rock at at time to the lawn.

The other day I came into Brock's room and he was missing. Well, he climbed under the crib and was hanging out under there. Oh and look, he found the bottle of saline I have been looking for!

We made a little sled out of a box for Brock. He likes to stand up while Cory pulls him around the yard. He has a good little surfer stance and pretty good balance! A future boarder for sure!

Trying on his Converse...still too big!

Just being a goof in the tub!

The Big Blue Advil

That is what we call Tahoe becuase it just makes you feel good! We went wakeboarding with our friends Lindsey, Jeff, Tourine and Trevor. And Brock's friends Annie and Taylor. First the Dad's went out, while the moms watched the babies, and vice versa. Then we went to lunch at Izzy's in North Lake. It was a great time as always. Brock also had playtime with his buddies Rowdy and Sawyer. They are so funny together now that they are all mobile. They crawl all around the house, share toys, and wrestle....so funny!

Just trying to get the nerve to go in...brrr!

I know it's not safe to play on the fire place, but they looked so cute!

A Cheerio feeding frenzy!

Busy!

Sorry, it's been a while! We have been very busy! I started my new position at UNR, coordinating a student wellness program. It has been a great change for me and I love my new job! Cory has also had a couple really busy work weeks, including a 3am, 7,000sq/ft concrete foundation pour. He is buiding a new ER at the VA hospital right now. Last Saturday, we went to Roseville to celebrate my aunt and uncle's 35th wedding anniversary. We got to see a lot of family, including Brock's baby cousin Addison. They have both changed a lot since they first met back in January. Addison is 4 weeks older than Brock and she looks like she could walk any day now!

Just hangin with my Uncle Jason (my cousin)

Addy and Brock

Brock in his cool shades. He only leaves them on for about 1 minute, but I think is starting to like them more and more.
