Beach!

We made a quick trip to the beach this past weekend. The boys were rockstar travelers! We met up with my best friend from high school and her growing family. The last time we were at the beach house (just over a year ago) was for her bachelorette party - and this time she was surrounded in diapers, bottles and TWO amazing baby girls! The last time I saw Clara and Olivia they were 2lbs and 1.5lbs - today they are big, strong, and soooo adorable - how blessed we are!

Reno Balloon Races

The Great Reno Balloon races have come and gone. We spent five days in a row watching the balloons - it was great. This is by far our favorite Reno event. We are lucky that it happens just a few yards from our house! On Saturday we hosted another balloon race breakfast party and it was awesome. Good times with friends and their growing families.

I've upgraded to the BOB Duallie. Cory likes to call it the Hummer of strollers. I love it and use it every day!!!

Cuddles from Vickie

My friend Kelly's mom is here waiting for her to have her baby - Theo might be the only baby she gets to hold since Kelly is now 10 days over due! Send her your good thoughts, prayers and vibes for a speedy labor SOON!

Tahoe

We love Tahoe! I took both boys by myself to Lake Tahoe to meet our friends the Enos and Parraguirre families. This was my biggest outing yet! We made it there and back with out a hitch - this is a huge mommy-of-two accomplishment. And we had a ton of fun with our friends.

Boise!!

Last weekend we flew the whole gang up to Boise to attaend the wedding of Bryon Mowlds and Leah Reaser. We all had a great time connecting with the childhood gang from Alaska and their growing families.

The boys clean up alright.

Breck and Brock being perfect little wedding guests.

Theo found Bryon's grandmother to be very soothing. He spent a good bit of time with her at the reception.

Theo Stats

I knew Theo was a big boy, but it was confirmed at his one month check up...12lbs, 7oz.(95th percentile) and 22.5inches (70th percentile)! He is growing like a weed! The Dr. said all is well with Mr. T. He said babies this age don't smile with intent, but I must DISAGREE...check out our happy boy. He gives us lots of smiles!

Brockisms

Brock is still confused by the breast pump. The other day he was playing with it and yelled, "Mom, turn on the milk!" - as if it were a slurpee machine :)

Yesterday we had a bumpy flight into reno. I explained to Brock that those bumps were called turbulence. A few minutes later Brock pointed at a guy behind us and said, "Turbulence woked that man up".

Brock explaining take off: "Were gonna go really fast and then do a big wheely and then go up up high in the sky! (or something like that)

After a cranky morning, Cory was joking with Brock and said he was going to take him to the woods and see if he could find his way home - so mean! Brock responded, "I have a home here - I don't have a home in the woods".

Brock brought his etch-a-sketch to me the other day. It was covered in scribbles and he said, "Mom, see those words - its about a fish from America".

When people ask Brock about his little brother, he proudly says "He's Theo Patrick".

A Mouse in the House!

As you all know - Brock still gets up some nights and often gets up very early in the morning. In fact, Theo is now getting up less than my (almost) three year old! There have been nights he has sneaked into my room and scared the you-know-what out of me. So the other morning Brock came into our room and was munching on something. There have been mornings where he will help himself to cereal when we are still asleep, but when I went into the kitchen this is what I found...

Who needs a knife.

I have struggled with what to do with him - I know it's not safe to have him wondering the house, but it doesn't feel right to lock him in his room. I have now set up a Brock trap! I put a monitor in the hallway by his room, so now when he opens his door I can hear him and catch him in the act. This should work until my little smarty learns to turn it off.
