Last weekend we went camping at Lake Almanor...gorgeous, fun, exhausting are good words to describe our camping adventure! The drive up was beautiful...we could have enjoyed it more if we didn't have to listen to a 3 year old blabbing away the WHOLE entire time. Yes, 2.5 hours of jabbering! It was cute for the first hour then we decided we would be purchasing a portable DVD player for our next drive! I even tried bribery (yes, I know, mom of the year!) with no luck. Brock was just SO excited for camping! Once we got there and set up things we had a blast! Enjoy the pictures...I'm not in a single one, but I swear I was there too.
We had a great camp site just a few yards from the lake! We love our camper!
We went into Chester for a frosty cone - yum!
The campground had a playground - of coures, Brock's favorite feature had to do with water.
Brock with his net on the beach.
Cute!
Fun in the camper!
Theo was a super camper!
We got Brock a fishing pole - within minutes he was an expert at casting - it was seriously impressive!
The camper has a tiny tub - perfect for these two dirty boys!
Camping is just exhausting!

Nana+AK Friends+Goodman Wedding = FUN!
Our friends from AK, Mike and Sarah, got married at Heavenly two weeks ago. The wedding was amazing and the whole week leading up to the wedding was so fun. Nana and lots of our friends came to town so needless to say we had a blast and the boys were spoiled! Cory and I did more partying than we have done in years! It took a few days to catch up on sleep and detox the boys from all the attention and crazy schedules. But all so worth it!
Most of the AK guys.
Ahhhh.....
View from the Heavenly tram.
Nick and Theo playing with a paper towel...Theo thought this was hysterical.
Roasting the worlds tiniest marshmellows in our back yard.
We got to host a big BBQ at our house - we don't get to have our AK friends over just anytime so it was a treat for us to have them all in our home at once!
The Monday before the wedding we went to an Aces game with Mike and Sarah...aren't they cute?!
Nana with her favorite grandsons! They were keeping warm under the blanket at the game The boys had so much fun playing with Nana while she was here. Having some extra help was so amazing...I even got my hair cut! THANK YOU NANA!
I love Nana!

Brockisms
The other day Brock asked me, 'So mom...are you just always gonna be a girl?' - this question was followed by many 'why's'
Yesterday my mom was pulling away in their new prius! I commented that it was so quiet and Brock immediately chimmed in, 'That's because it runs on a battery' - Pa must have already given him a lesson on the prius.
Brock was sick the other day and so I got him some gingerale. He rarely gets soda, so he quickly learned to milk being sick. He would say things like, 'mom, I'm still a little bit sick so I need some more green drink'. Then yesterday he said, 'mom, I'm still a little bit sick so I can't go to school today' (he loves school, but still always has to tell me he is not going at least once every morning - must be a three year old thing)
He loves be the 'boss'. The other day he said, 'I have to go check on my brother to make sure he's not getting into trouble'
The other day he described something as 'fantastic'
Brock set the table at his kitchen and 'cooked' me a meal the other day, when he served me my drink he said, 'Here's your beer mom'. It was a little early for a beer, but I induldged!
Other not-so-fun phrases...'that's not true' 'that's not fair' 'those aren't my choices' 'this is boring'

Hot Stuff
Theo thinks he is hot stuff now that he is 10 months old! His new trick is standing. He pulls him self up to something and then, wah lah, no hands...standing (Update from Theo since yesterdays post, 'today I stand up wherever I want - right in the middle of the room if I feel like it!'). Yesterday he even did some standing and clapping at the same time, like I said, 'hot stuff'. He is not much into words, but he has several sound effects: 'bbbrrmmmm' with his car, 'mooo' with his cow, 'grrrrr' growling with his brother, and of course, the rasberry. He is obsessed with the toilets at the moment and don't you dare try to stop him...he gets mad. I thought it was impressive the other day when I took him out of the hallway bathroom (while screaming) and closed the lid, placed him back in his room and then he made a beeline for Brock's bathroom. He is definately working on some more teeth, but still has just one on the bottom. He is so fun loving...it takes no effort to get a good laugh out of him unlike his more serious brother :) Favorite person: still Brock!
Look mom, no hands!
See my big tooth!

Tahoe
We made our first summer trip to the Lake last weekend to stay at the Batavia cabin -always a GOOD time! We played at the beach and just hung out at their Tahoe paradise. We took the kids to play their first round of miniature golf. Brock really needs to work on his golf swing, but he sure had fun running around like a crazy man, swinging at the ball and when all else failed...walking right up and throwing the ball in the hole! Theo also enjoyed the golf course with his buddy Millie.
Annie and Brock...two peas in a pod!
What mom? You don't want me to eat this rock? Okay...I'll just taste it...yum!
Throwing rocks...how many pictures of Brock throwing rocks have I posted on this blog...this activity provides endless fun.
