You have to be very stealth when taking video of Brock. He is kind of like a wild animal, as soon as he sees you the performance is over! Brock sings almost all day long - even at 2am as Cory and I found out when we shared a hotel room with him last night. Here are almost all of his ABC's.

Brock'isms'
It's time for another "funny things Brock says" post. My mom started calling them Brock'isms'. You don't have to read them all, but since this is my form of scrap booking, I had to document. It is hard to capture the moment in writing - imagine all of these things said in the sweetest little voice with a toddler twang!
- A few weeks ago he was playing with his tractor and dump truck in our back yard and he asked me to move his truck. When I sat it down he said, “gracias”. Then he looked over his shoulder, and said “That’s Spanish”. Just in case I didn’t know, I guess. I told that to Cory that night and he said that Brock said, ‘Excellente’ and did the same thing, looked over his shoulder to announce that “That’s Spanish”. He is learning Spanish from Cory and his playgroup, where most of the kids speak Spanish.
- We love our little Mexican food place, Betos. Yesterday we were leaving and Cory told Brock, “Vamonos”(Let's go!), then Brock said, “It’s not vamonos, it’s Betos”. Duh, Dad!
-Looking out the window while he ate breakfast at Ma Ma & Pa’s house. Brock exclaims “Ma Ma see that! The snow is sticking!” Then he told Pa “The snow is sticking on the road”. Enid had talked to him about the snow sticking.
- Yesterday Pa said he was playing with 3 boards in the living room that he uses to build a tunnel for his train. He was using two to build some other creation and carrying them and announced ‘I have two boards’. He can now count to 11, but not on command only if he feels like counting:)!
- Pa was in the back yard digging post holes. He peeked through the fence and asked “Pa can I come in your back yard?” Pa of course told him yes. Then Brock runs over to Pa and asks him ‘Pa what are you doing?’ Pa tells him he is digging a hole. Brock says “That’s a great idea!”
- He plays in his ‘office’ at Ma Ma and Pa’s house. An old keyboard setup on a box. He swipes cards like an ATM, types on the keys, announces he is going to work, tells us to be quiet he is working, and even gets the phone to conduct his business calls with Connor. Is he trading stocks?. It is hard to capture the moment in writing - imagine all of these things said in the sweetest little voice with a toddler twang!
- We were playing at the beach and we were trying get Brock moving in the right direction to head home. We said, “Brock, let’s go over here” and he responded, “No, I don’t want to go to that area, I want to play in this area”. Where does he come up with this stuff?
- He often tells me, “I’ll be right back” as he runs off to do something. In other words, don’t follow me!
- He likes the word “perfect”. If he likes your idea he says, “Hmmm, perfect idea”. If his oatmeal is just the right temperature he says, “It’s not too hot, it’s perfect for me”. Yesterday he asked where daddy was and I told him he went to work, Brock replied, "Oh, perfect".
- Sometimes he uses multiple words to explain the same thing – what is that called? I can’t remember. “I need a couple some rocks to throw in the pond”, “I don’t not want that”, "I'm getting some two books" – too cute.
- Toddler conversation is just about the funniest thing ever! Brock and Annie love to make funny faces and giggle at each other and they chat quite a bit too. The other day my friend Lindsey and I were watching the kids. Brock walked right up to Annie and said, “Annie, are you pooping too?”, Annie responded, “Yeah, poop”. Brock really was pooping and Annie was just along with it.
Every other conversation in our house is worthy of posting – but I can’t remember them all! I wish I could freeze Brock at this age forever – it is so fun!

Little Fish!
We have been doing some new swim lessons with Brock. He as been doing them since he was about 6 months old, but the new lessons are "serious"...he is actually learning to swim! He can now swim about 9 seconds under water to me! He is a little fish and loves every minute in the water!
Practicing kicking in a little boat. Brock can really go!
You can't see Brock because he is swimming under water. He slides in and swims to me.
Hanging on the wall. They teach lots of safety in this class...if Brock jumps in he has to turn around and find the wall - eventually without my help!

A Belly Report
We are now about 20 weeks along - half way! Last week we had an ultra sound (probably the last) and checked out all the important body parts - heart, brain, kidneys, placenta, etc. The baby looks very healthy! The ultrasound technician was training someone and so we got a bonus 3D look. The baby looks a little scary - I'm hoping he/she is a bit cuter than these pictures, but they are still amazing. In Jennings style, we are waiting to find out whether the bean is a girl or boy. I added a polling gadget to the blog, so place your bets!
You can also see my belly is growing quite large and getting bigger by the day. Everyone can tell I'm pregnant now. With my first pregnancy that probably didn't happen until about 30 weeks. Our house projects are in full swing as we try to prepare for the baby. We are having fun decorating Brock's "big boy" room with a surfer theme. I wish I could say I'm feeling great, but it has been a rough week. I have a terrible cold/cough and pain in my lower back - the real kicker is no med for pregos! Next week is sure to be better :)
Tiny leg and foot.
Cute little face :)
Profile, looking up!
18 week belly!

Prayers Needed
I'm recruiting all the prayers possible, so I thought I would do a little post. My best friend Katie (you may remember Brock and I were in their wedding in September) just delivered twin girls at 26 weeks. Little miss Clara Elizabeth is 1 lb, 7 oz. and miss Olivia Marie is 2 lbs. They are doing better than many preemies (not surprising - they have the rockstar genes of their mommy), but they need all the prayers you can spare and Katie and Jeremy could use them as well! They are at Stanford getting the best medical care possible. We are going there to visit next weekend.

Random Brock Pics
Between back pain and a cold - and not being able to take any medicine I'm up....posting at 4am. Really, I've been up all night! These are just some random shots of our busy boy.
Brock could play outside (rain or shine) forever! His new favorite thing is to, "dig for bugs". We find worms, pincher bugs, and rollie pollie bugs - yuck!
We have our favorite little authentic Mexican food place, Betos. I've had to start ordering Brock his own burrito because he now eats 1/2 to 3/4 of one! He also loves their salsa which is pretty hot.
Rocking his baby.
Having a fit because I want to see the camera - geez!
