This is the perfect example of why it is hard to get video of Brock. As soon as he sees the camera he stops what he is doing and says, "I wanna see Brock". Meaning he wants to see the video you just took. Here he is singing from his Wee Sing Books, he knows a bunch of the songs! He has the sweetest little singing voice - you just want to squeeze him!

Brock's World

It is so much fun to be a part of Brock's world. His imagination has totally exploded in the last month or so. He makes up pretend stories and activities all the time! The other day he decided that a few little bushes on the side of my parents house looked like a little house. He picked up a little stick and used it as a key to get in. Then he went straight to the kitchen and got cooking! He invites you in and feeds you wonderful delicious treats! The best part is they have no calories! He makes all kinds of things, from pancakes to gopher guts (Dad taught him that). Cooking is one of his favorite pretend activities, but he also loves to pretend shop, play pretend catch, and pretend like he is a tiger in the jungle - it is sooooo cute! He sniffs, scratches, roars, and carries things around in his mouth. It is so fun to be a part of these stories - when was the last time I used my imagination like that?

It is amazing, Brock needs no props to begin pretending. Yesterday, he set his stuffed animals out in a row and pretended it was a kitchen. So I decided to make him a "proper" kitchen out of a laundry and toy basket. Then he was in heaven!

Yum, these gopher guts are delicious!

Brock loves this train set at the beach - the same one my brother had.

A Classic!

This photo is worthy of its own post! Of course, I try to stick to the warm, fuzzy, happy moments on the blog - but if you hang out with Brock long enough you will also get to see this face! My friend Tourine (an amazing professional photographer - see their website to the right) captured this classic moment perfectly! The girls are giving him the same look I was from behind the camera!

Happy Halloween!

Eating a lollipop at the pumpkin patch - this was the only time he stood still!

We found the perfect pumpkin in Santa Cruz last weekend. Brock was not really interested in looking for a pumpkin at all. He just wanted to play!

Carving a "Jack O Lanter" as Brock says.

We thought we would get good use out of the wetsuit - Check out that surfer dude! And the hand made surfboard, sculpted by Mom and Dad.

Eating some sweets after trick or treating with Tay and Annie. These three got the hang of trick or treating really fast! We just went to a couple of the neighbors houses - that is more candy than any two year old needs! Brock has had more sugar in the last two days, than he has had in his entire almost two years on earth.

Candy coma.

Playing the piano together - so sweet. Brock was a surfer, Annie a flash dancer, and Tay a Geisha girl.

Beach Fun

We had a blast at the beach last weekend! The weather was amazing!

Brock in his new wetsuit surfing with dad. Can you believe how big our boy is?

That uncle Arthur is hilarious! Brock would not leave Arthur alone. If his door was closed he would stand on the other side and yell, "ARTUR"!

Brock riding on daddy's back in the pool.

Yikes, don't let go of me yet!

Boogie boarding

Sand surfing!

"I a worker"

My aunt Connie has been visiting for the last week. She helped us load some concrete on our trailer and as you can see she had plenty of help! He did about a hundred trips with tiny pieces and when I got home from work he proudly announced, "Mommy, I a worker!" Brock loves having Connie around to play and work with! Turn up your volume so you can hear him talking the whole time - "I'm skipping", "1..2...3" as he throws the rock, "I all dusty" as he brushes his hands, "go down, coming?".
