Now and Then

Brock spotted his "bumbo chair" in the closet the other day and just had to play with it. He was never fond of it when he was little - he just preferred to be held constantly, but now he is enjoying it.

We had a quiet weekend - Brock came down with his first stomach bug. We were grocery shopping (yes, a cart full of groceries) when Brock announced to me, "I throw up". And that he did - right in the middle of the store! I quickly peeled of my jacket to try to catch some of it, but had no luck - we were both covered and our shopping trip came to a screeching halt. The joys of motherhood. Despite the upset tummy his mood seems fairly normal, but needless to say we didn't leave the house again this weekend.

Still got it.

Well turning 30 doesn't seem to have slowed Cory down. In the last week he finished second in his class at a bike race and won his Alumni rugby game. The rugby game is simply to prove, while they continue to get older, that they can still beat up on the youngsters - I should add, they usually lose! Brock loved the Rugby game - he was hard to keep off the field and yelled "Go Wolf Pack" the whole time. It was a great reunion of college friends.


Mom has still got it too - by the way. This week I did a hike, a 5k run and have been keeping up with the youngsters in a wellness program I started on campus. This is an awesome program (if I don't say so myself) and it means I pretty much get paid to lead work outs!
