Uncle Arthur

My brother took a break from his busy life in D.C. to visit us in Reno. We took a hike in Tahoe on Friday with the whole family. The weather was incredible and the lake was as beautiful as ever! Brock did great in the backpack and loved putting his feet in the lake. Brock really loves his Uncle Arthur too!

We also had swim lessons again this week. This week we learned to blow bubbles and go under water. We dunked Brock three times and he did great! So much fun!

Fun Stuff

Brock made short work of this magazine the other night. We are starting to wonder why we buy toys. His favorite toys are things like ice cubes, wet wash clothes, measuring cups, boxes and magazines! Brock has pretty much mastered sitting. We still stay close in case he takes a tumble, but even a tumble doesn't seem to bother him much. This age is really amazing, he seems to be changing and learning new things everyday.

Brock in a Box

Who needs expensive toys? Brock had a blast playing in this moving box at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I think he liked it because his ball couldn't get away from him. Brock is starting to sit on his own. I stay within arm's reach for when he goes timber!

Big Personality

That impish grin has me worried! Brock is perpetually trying to do new things, grab things he's not supposed to, etc. He is determined and intense! His BIG personality is really showing now. Cory and I are so amazed at how Brock, even in this tiny body, has such a mind of his own. We will do all we can to nuture this growing personality!

By the way...have you noticed...Brock is bald! The trade mark crazy hair is gone and now blonde hair is growing in.

Splish Splash

Saturday morning Brock started his swim lessons. He was the most enthusiastic in the class, yelling and laughing the whole time. The teacher commented on his enthusiasm, we think he is most definately a future swimmer and surfer. I was expecting the class to be mostly moms, but there were several Dad's in the water, including Cory. Our friends, Tony, Evon, and baby Ruby were also in the class. It was a great time!

All in the Family...

Brock had his first flight to Orange County California to meet his Great Grandpa and Grandma. We (me, G'ma, and Brock) flew down for a quick trip. He also got to see his great aunt and uncle and second cousins. Oh, and don't forget Tucker Brocks new dog friend! Brock did great on the flight, mostly just slept and talked with whomever was passing by. He is VERY social these days. He would much prefer to be out and about meeting new people, than cooped up in the house with mom. We also got a visit from Great Aunt Connie and she helped watch Brock for a couple days. We have an exciting trip planned in July, to go to Anchorage and meet more family. We can hardly wait!

Hanging Out

Last weekend we got together with Brock's friend Owen. They had a little wrestling match as you can see. It is so fun watching them grow up together...a lot has changed since the newborn days!
