Spring Time

Lots of fun spring activities have been happening around here! Due to the terrible, yucky, windy spring weather we have had to just pretend it is spring - I think we are doing a good job.
First the Ace's home opener! With lots of candy, 5 toddlers lasted until the post game fireworks at almost 11pm...awesome! They had to wake us up to drive them home though...ha :)

About a month ago we took an adult only trip to Napa with our friends. The lovely spring weather and about 5ft of snow meant we got stuck over the pass for an extra day, and it rained the entire day in Napa. But that didn't stop us from having an awesome time with friends. It was so relaxing and a much needed break from the kiddos.

Last weekend we pretended it was summer and went on a one night camping trip to Washoe Lake State Park. It was actually a really nice day, but the wind picked up at night and we had to leave in the morning. This was a great little campground. We did lots of biking and hiking on the sand dunes. Brocks favorite thing was playing hide and seek in the sage brush that surrounded our campsite. One thing we love about Reno is being able to venture just miles from our house for great camping.

Signs of Spring

Just a sweet story:

Brock and I were going through the park the other day and I pointed out some big gardens of daffodils. I said, 'Brock, look at the daffodils, they are so beautiful' and he replied, 'I just love the signs of spring'.

Enjoy the signs of spring on the this beautiful day!

The Beach

Cory got a last minute week off of work and so we headed to the beach! Cory, the boys, and my folks were there for almost a week and I was just there on the weekend...somebody has to work around here :) Just kidding, Cory works harder than anyone I know and so deserves a week off! I enjoyed my couple days in our quite house with no boys! The empty house was strange, but very enjoyable I must say. The weather at the beach was epic...70s and 80s....ahhhhhhh....bring it on! Theo and Brock spent hours running on the beach, yelling, digging, chasing birds and finding crabs.

Finding sand crabs was the highlight of the trip! Brock hunted for sand crabs for hours.

Mini Moto

Here is my little moto dude! Feet on the pegs and all. Brock took to his birthday present like a pro. He and his dad do trips to the desert and park to ride together already - it is really cute! Cory even bought me a bike...Ha! I'm starting to realize if I want to hang out with my boys I may have to learn. The video quality is not great, but you will get the picture.

Zip Line

What house full of boys would be complete without a zip line? So remember how in the last post I mentioned that Theo wants to do everything his brother does and that he is strong as an ox....see exhibit A. I just wonder how many 19 month olds would even consider doing a zip line let alone mastering it on the first try? Just wondering... He also says ,'watch' just like brother does, I must hear the words, 'Mom, watch me' twenty times a day...looks like I'm about to hear it twice that much!

Theo

My little Theo (neglected as usual) so deserves a new post! At 19 months you are one busy kid! Things you do that we just love, make us laugh and, of course, make us a little crazy.
- You climb on everything! You often end up on top of the kitchen table, counters and bar stools - you are so strong! I've watched you hoist yourself with pure determinatin onto things as high as your armpits. How do you do it?
- You have so many words - way too many to list! Today while you were eating breakfast I asked you if you wanted milk or orange juice and you said, "No, apul jus" (apple juice). Your first little sentence! You love the word 'no'. When I'm about to tell you to stop doing something, you beat me to it and say, 'no, no, no mommy' - you know you are up to trouble!
- You are a screamer (this goes on the 'drives us crazy' list). You just let out the loudest screams either in response to your brothers harassment or for pure attention.
- You want to do everything your big brother does
- You are so funny...a little comedian! You do funny things and keep a straight face (sometimes with a little grin). You love to make us laugh!
- You love to put things into other things...rocks in a bucket, fill up a whole, etc.
- You are such a love bug and give lots of hugs and kisses!

These pictures are from a photo shoot by Johnstone Studios when Theo was one. Shame on me for not posting them sooner. Theo has changed so much since these photos were taken. But the buns and chubby thighs look about the same! I want to remember my boys at every little stage, chubby buns and all! This blog is my only hope at remembering...

Winter Wonderland

The snow finally arrived in Reno! Okay, now I'm ready for summer :)
