We have to add Theo to the 'isms' list - he is a talking fool these days! They keep us entertained all day long with their shenanigans!
Brock:
Last night as we were cuddling before bed time Brock said to me, "Tomorrow I'm going to get up early becuase I have lots of busy things to do in the morning"
One of our pear treas didn't survive a transplant and so I was taking it out. Brock was concerned and I told him we could plant a new tree. I asked him what kind of tree we should plant. "Um, how about a dried fruit tree" he replied. Then he suggested a few other trees that would never survive here - like mango.
Brock has one pair of overalls that we use every once in awhile for painting. He was helping me with a house project and had them on, and he said, "Mom, aren't these good over-everywheres I have on"
Today we were at the park and I told Brock we had to go soon because mommy had to go potty. He thought about it and said, 'mom, you could just pee on a tree like I do' I had to explain how it isn't as socially acceptable for mommy to pee on a tree.
I love Brock's 'mature' taste in music. Almost every night after bath we have a dance party and rock out to some tunes. The other night I thought I would put on some 'kid' music for a change because usally we just listen to what mommy likes. Brock instantly said, 'I don't want this mom, I want Michael Franti...or Dynamite (taio cruz)'. Am I a bad mom for being so glad my kids like to listen to 'real' music? Phew....no mary had a little lamb in this house!
Theo:
Theo says (or tries to say) everything we do. Some of my favorite little sayings.
I wana bitamin (vitamin)
He always adds a 'hey' when getting your attention, 'hey mommy', 'hey pa', 'hey Bock'
'mommy, I wana dance poty' (we have dance parties almost every night after baths)
The other day I told him it was time to get dressed and he said, 'no, not yet'
Brock gets the biggest kick out of Theo talking. Theo will say something and Brock will be shocked and say, 'how did he say that?' One of Brock's favorite things is to tell Theo to say certain things. The other day he decided he would teach Theo some words that I don't really like....ah yes, the potty talk...literally. The boys were laughing hysterically in the back room and as I came down the hall I could hear Brock saying, 'Theo, say poopy head', 'say farty fart' - Theo would of course say it and then they would both giggle uncontrollably. Why is it so funny to talk about pooping and farting?
