We always start Christmas off with a baking day or three. The boys eat...ur,I mean decorate ginger bread houses while me and my mom bake like crazy women!
After a couple weeks of present-buying, party-going, gift wrapping, cookie baking madness we headed off to the beach for a relaxing week and Christmas. Beautiful, just beautiful weather at the beach! At the beginning of the week my best friend Katie and her family came to visit. Her twin girls are the absolute cutest! Double sweet singing voices, double pink jammies, double naked babies in the tub...just cute..and cute! We had so much fun with them.
My two little explorers! The tides were really extreme so we had some great tide pool exploring to do. Brock of course, comes up with the idea that he is the owner of an aquarium and takes it upon himself to feed and care for all the creatures. He took my camera and took some great pictures of his aquarium.
Cory doesn't just make a little wood structure at the beach - he makes a huge one! He doesn't just make a little sand pile - he makes a huge one! His creations attract kids from all over the beach.
Santa came on Christmas Eve to give the boys some special gifts. Brock has been asking for an RC crane for months and luckily santa delivered! Theo only wanted a candy cane and santa should have just saved his money on the other present. He was perfectly happy with the candy cane :) Theo was running around in his santa hat pretending to be santa, but instead of saying 'ho, ho, ho merry christmas' he says, 'have you been good, here's a candy cane'!
When we got home we packed up Christmas. As much as I love the holidays, I'm always glad to pack it up! Once the boys saw me packing up they made one last desperate effort to devour their gingerbread houses before they met the garbage can. Sugar detox is serious business after the holidays.
