Tahoe

A bunch of my family gathered in Tahoe last weekend to celebrate my Aunt Cathy's 30th :) Birthday! We had a blast hanging at the cabin which was positioned on a steep cliff just above the lake. Brock fits right in with all of the boys! All of my cousins were there and Brock had a great time hanging out with the big boys. Of course, there was beach time too and Brock loved eating the sand!

Look at that view!

Just hanging with the boys...Kyle, Ryan, Adam, John, Kevin and Brock.

Almost the whole gang.

Just Hanging Out

This weekend we stayed close to home. Cory finished the deck (except for some paint). It turned out really nice! We have already been enjoying it in the evenings. The iron railing is baby-proof! Brock has been cruising around the house, yard, and garage. He was helping Cory work on his dirt bikes and even got some grease on his knee. He was filthy! We go through a lot more clothes now that Brock is crawling. Brock also tried some spinach...he loved it to our surprise! This morning I learned that it comes out almost exactly as it went in :)

Ba = Ball

We really aren't going crazy. Brock has a couple words AND he knows what they mean. His favorite game is to play ball, so we have said ball maybe 5,000 times. Well, Brock was paying attention because now whenever he comes across a ball, bobber, or other round object he says "ba". He also says Mama, Da and Ga(grandma) consistantly! It is amazing! As you can see Brock is really getting around and pulling himself up to standing. He has figured out his index finger and points at everything wanting to know what it is. It is so fun to watch him figure things out, make up new games, and crack himself up. Does it get any better than this?

Ba!

Pointing!

Brock looks so proud when he does something new!

Gone Fishing

Okay, all of our Alaska family and friends will make fun, but this weekend Cory went fishing in the Sparks marina. It is basically a giant gravel pit that has been filled with water for recreation. It has a great park, homes, running path, sailing and fishing! I'm not sure if the fish are suitable to eat, but we didn't have to worry about that since Cory didn't catch anything. Brock and I went for a run and played at the park while Dad fished.

Baby Friends

This weekend we had more fun at the park! We also helped celebrate Ruby's 1st Birthday earlier this week.

8 Months

It is hard to believe that Brock is 8 months old! He is growing fast and keeping us on our toes. Brock was cautious and steady during his first couple weeks of crawling, but now he has SPEED! We are learning the word "no" and I have been madly cleaning all of those hard to reach places that Brock can squeeze into. Cory and I had a million dollar idea...swiffer pads to put on your baby's hands, feet and knees. Brock is also starting to pull himself up on things, mostly on me and low furniture. He has a battle wound on his forehead from attempting this new trick. He is also exploring new foods. His favorite so far has been noodles with pesto and raw garlic...that is some good Italian blood. Grandpa Cosimo would be proud! Today we went swimming and he had a blast in the pool as usual. His friend Sianna is 14 months old and she showed him how to go down the water slide and gave him some tips on walking. There is so much to learn!
Babies don't get much cuter than this!
Fun with paper towels.
This is Brock's serious look.

Great Basin Adventure

We have a great little theme park right down the street from us in Rancho San Rafael. It has rides, animals, performers, and exhibits. Last night, a neighborhood crew went down for family night. The crew included Brock's twin friends and it was crazy to see them all ineracting. They had a little wrestling match and babbled to each other in baby language. This year they are all crawling around and in a couple years they will be running around the neighborhood causing trouble I'm sure. Cory and I went on the log ride, which wasn't half bad for a neighborhood park. Both Grandma's came too!

Babies everywhere!

Brock can't get enough Grandma time!
