Alaska

Mid-July we made our way to Alaska! The sun was shining and the weather was glorious. We even went swimming and water skiing...in Alaska. My boys had full wetsuits on but never mind that small detail - it protected them from the mosquitos :)
Our family and friends spoiled us while we were there. Nana had a great cabin bash and Jill Cropper had a big party at her house and all of our friends came - we are very grateful as this is the only way we could see EVERYONE! Thanks Jill and Nana.
Highlights:
Playing at Crystal Lake (Nana's cabin)
Aunt Nikki's turtles
Seeing a moose
Flying on an airplane
Fishing
Brock learning to tie flies - a hobby he love and is still doing!
Jumping off the dock
Playing with cousin Carlee
Stinky the goat and family
Boating
Paddle boat and motor dock
All the daylight - the picture off Nana's deck below was taken at midnight!

4th of July

We spent the 4th at our cabin with great friends.  First we watched the Chester parade!  It was an awesome event candy, beer, entertainment... Fun for all:) The boys quickly got the hang of collecting candy from the floats.
Then we watched the fireworks from our little local beach.  And the rest of the weekend was filled with fishing, swimming, boating, bike riding, and celebrating good friends!  Oh and Vanessa and I ran in the Westwood 5k!
4th place baby!  We could have won but we were having old lady issues.

Allison, my pretend daughter  She is so awesome and hilarious.
What a good friend Brody is to feed Theo a nectarine at his request.

Catching Bees

Theo proudly caught a bee in this water bottle!  Then the boys both started in on this activity.  I gave them a warning that if they are catching them they might get stung.  Theo responds, 'Mom, they will only sting you if you're bothering them'!  Hmmm, I wonder how the bees define 'bothering'.

Next stop, the beach!

After a week at the beach we asked Brock if he liked Capitola or Kauai best.  He said he likes the 'beach house' better because he likes cold water saying, 'I guess I'm just more of A-laskan'.  Such great memories at the beach house.  This trip - donuts, visit with my friend Katie, fishing, boogie boarding, beach, finding a shark, fun times with family!
