Camping

Our annual 4th of July camping trip was an epic trip yet again! With new babies and babies on the way (not us thank goodness) the group was a bit smaller, but we had an amazing time with friends. The kids were having non stop fun the entire trip - boating, catching crawdads, bike riding, swimming, floating, playing games - endless fun!
Checking the crawdad traps! Showing off their catch. So we bought the traps just for a little entertainment, but we soon realized we would have enough for a meal - the crawdad tacos were awesome!

Theo was not too happy about getting splashed in the face!
Our campsite was right on the lake and we were able to leave our boat in the water. It was beautiful!

Papa J

Papa J came for a visit! Now, time to come back Papa J! I'm not sure who enjoys these grandpa visits more - me (because I get a little break) or the boys (because they are having so much fun). Papa J keeps these kiddos completely entertained with one activity after the next. Ladder ball, frog hunting at the park, eating, and visiting = fun times. Thanks for making the LONG drive Papa J!

Cousins Camping!

Our first camping trip of the summer was in Foresthill at my aunt's house. All the cousin's had a blast! We explored Connie's house and went swimming at sugar pine to cool off.
Run for your life Calculus! A little hike with Connie

Nice.

Play

Brock and Theo performed in their end of the school year play! They were both fish and said their lines perfectly (Brock nice and loud and Theo really soft). I was in Chicago for work so I missed it, but Daddy managed to get a couple cute pictures while tending to Theo's stage fright. Brock told me, 'Theo was a little bit stage afraid'. I love these sweet boys!

Our Owl

The other day when the boys and I were home I opened the back window and found this amazing creature staring at me! Owls are right up there with sea turtles on my favorite creature list. We were so excited to find him, but I suspected something might be wrong since he was on the ground. I decided to call him in and he was taken to a raptor rescue. He let us get so close and we even helped with the rescue. Never a dull moment at the Jennings house. For the record, Theo was throwing up that morning and therefor nudy. Usually, I have no excuse for my children's lack of clothing, but this time I do!

Solar Eclipse

At five years old, Brock has seen both a lunar and solar eclipse! Our neighbors had a little eclipse party :) I tried to get a picture through the glass, but it didn't work.

Where to begin?

Time to do a little catch up on the blog! A beach trip back in May. It was just our family there and Art too. We had so much fun! Trip highlights: Brock getting more brave on the surfboard - still not crazy about the wipe out, Theo getting more brave in the pool - face in the water = huge progress, super fun times at the beach - cliff jumping, playing in the creek, digging holes, etc., donuts in the morning - everyday because "pa" lets us:), salamander hunting.
